It's paying off

So I haven't posted in long time, sorry Al :)
A while ago I posted I was talking about losing weight and getting in shape. I am proud to say I have done just that! The last picture from that post was from thanksgiving and I was looking...umm...not so hot, ha ha! I decided to do a bunch of running this summer with all my free time after being laid off. So far I have run a 5k, (3) 10k's, and on Sunday will run my first 1/2 marathon! I'm really nervous and excited. I ran the whole distance last week and it was hard!
Well because of all this running, eating healthier, and doing a little circuit training I have lost 16lbs! I went from my high of 147lbs to now weighing 131lbs! I am super excited and my next goal is to get some rocking abs. So thats what is new with me. I'll try to be more prompt with the posting.

Summer running

I've rounded up a few troops to do some summer running. There are 5 races which I will be running starting at a 5K in May and ending with the Denver Marathon in October.  Most of the races are on the front range which makes it easy for My lovely parents to come and cheer me on and take pictures :) Samantha McGee will be running all of them with me and a few other friends will be there for most of the low milage ones. I'm really excited that I have people interested in running with me! It makes it easier if you have someone to hold you accountable.

Dad, If you and Ashley want to run some of these with me let me know!

Here is the list of races and the websites to find information on them:

Take 5 in the Garden Of The Gods (5K) Saturday, May 2nd in Colorado Springs

Change

I've been getting bored with the same old same old. That's why I decided to change a few things. I felt like I was looking a little blah and a wee bit out of shape. As I blogger earlier, I am on a quest to be healthier and lose a bit of weight. With that I decided to overhaul my outward appearance. I started my inside overhaul by eating smaller portions of healthier food and taking vitamins every morning, which has started to pay off. I've lost 6lbs. so far. On the outside I have been taking better care of my skin, I bought new fun makeup and brushes. AND I got a cute, sassy new hair cut. I also bought some skinny jeans. I bought them online and haven't gotten them yet so the verdict is still out (We'll see). So that's about it. It's time to look fabulous!
